Guidelines for coming to the Masjid
Alhamdulillah, the masjid is now open for the five daily prayers as well as Jum’a prayers.
Those who have been attending prayers know that we have put together a special protocol for the health and safety of all our congregants, adhering to established Provincial guidelines.
On Fridays, ICC will be open for Jum’a prayer only for a limited number of people including the Imam and staff/volunteers. We will only be allowing 110 men and 20 women to enter the masjid. No children under the age of 18 will be allowed to enter.
There will be 2 prayers on Fridays: 1:30pm and 2:45pm. The doors will open at 1:00pm for the first prayer, and 2:15pm for the second prayer. Please note, we will not be able to accommodate sisters for the second prayer. We will continue to live stream the 1st Khutbah on Facebook for those who cannot attend.
Given the limited number of people allowed in the building, we will be asking all worshippers to register ahead via The Masjid App, or at the door. When you arrive at ICC, you will be required to write down your name and phone number, answer a brief questionnaire, and have your temperature taken by a volunteer. We are tracking all the attendees in order to keep them informed in the event of an outbreak.
Before coming to the mosque for any prayer, please review the following guidelines carefully, as they are extremely important to maintain the health and well being of the congregation, your family and the community.
Guidelines for coming to the masjid:
1) wear a mask at all times;
2) bring your own prayer mat;
3) bring a plastic bag to put your shoes in, and keep them with you in the prayer hall;
4) make wudhu at home (no wudhu or washroom facilities are available at ICC);
5) use hand sanitizer when entering and leaving the building;
6) keep a distance of 6 feet from other worshippers;
7) pray sunnah prayers at home.
While the safety of our congregants is our highest priority, we cannot guarantee your safety from COVID-19 or any other health risks. Your attendance at ICC is at your own risk. ICC will not be held liable for any complications arising from visiting our facility.
We thank you in advance for your patience, cooperation and dedication to ICC.
