Friday Announcements | October 28, 2016

  • Islamic Centre of Cambridge (ICC) is hosting a Free, “KIDS’ FUN NIGHT” on Monday 31-October, 2016 from 6:00PM to 8:00PM for children between 5-15 years old and there will be a Mad Science Show, dinner and treats.
  • We are currently accepting donations of peanut free chocolate for the event, kindly drop them off at the office.
  • The Elections for the Board members and Chairman will be held on Sunday 20-November, 2016 after Duhr prayer in Hall “B”. Please complete a Nomination Form available at the office or the mosque lobby, if you have not yet received one. The deadline for the receipt of nomination papers is 3:00PM on Tuesday 01-November, 2016.
  • Please mark your calendar, ICC will be holding a “Fundraising Dinner” after Maghrib prayer on Saturday 10-December, 2016.

  • Jazak Allah to both Shaan Foods for sponsoring the ingredients for the biryani we sold after Jummah, and Brother Faiz, parent at ISOC, for making the biryani. We appreciate their support.
  • Imam Kabbar will be holding a training session for volunteers in the community both (men and woman), that assist with burial ghusul. This will be held on Sunday, October 23, 2016 after Zuhr prayer.
  • Allhamdullilah, ISOC had a very successful start with its after school Stemotics Club. Thank you parents’ and students’ for the excellent participation. Looking forward to the next 7 weeks of fun & learning filled sessions.
  • Thank you to all ISOC parents for their cooperation & understanding in our recent school safety drop off and pick up changes.

Friday Announcements | October 14, 2016

  • Alhamdullilah, we have had an excellent response to both our "Evening and Sunday School" programs. This is an excellent opportunity for children who do not attend regular Islamic School, registration is ongoing and interested parents can contact the office for further details.
  • Jazak Allah to Brother Hamid (VIG) and his family for sponsoring our "Hifz Program". May Allah (swa) bless this family. We have 7 children attending regularly with 3 available spots.

  • The Islamic Centre, ICC is looking for a qualified female Religious education teacher to work with Sheikh Fuad Gaya on Sundays.
  • Our community has kindly donated "Qurbani" meat, any needy family wishing to collect "Qurbani" meat may come to the office during office hours.
  • Our sponsored Syrian family (husband, wife and 6 year old child) are arriving in early November 2016, so we need accommodation (apartment close to ICC ) for them, an Arabic speaking volunteer for communication purposes to help them settle down. A list of the required items will be posted on the ICC’s Bulletin Board, as well as on our official website. For details of where to drop off your new or gently used items, please contact the office first.
  • 2 members of our community were recognized by the "Pakistan Canada Association" for their excellence in Academic & Academic Scholarships. Please congratulate both Sheikh Fuad Gaya and Daniyal Abdali.
